The Country Caramel Apple Martini

The Country Caramel Apple Martini

The Taste of Autumn in a Glass

New England in the fall immediately brings to mind Mother Nature’s riotous masterpiece of orange, red and copper hued foliage, warm apple cider, pumpkin picking and country fairs with their rows of food stands.  These annual diet-killers dole out insanely unhealthy but incredibly delicious wares in exchange for a few bucks from your wallet.  I’m usually pretty good when it comes to eating my way through the day; Dave and I share everything so I’m only getting half the gut busting calories.  But there’s one thing I won’t share; a lushly smooth and creamy Caramel Apple.  Given my penchant for martinis, I’ve used my annual indulgence as the inspiration for our Country Caramel Apple Martini.  The secret to its smoothness is cinnamon infused simple syrup.  Give it a try and let me know what you think.
