I have to tell you about my favorite establishment in Delray Beach….DaDa’s….I have frequented the owner’s other clubs and pubs in Palm Beach since the early 90’s, but he really pulled my heart-strings with this one. I’ve become so attached to this quaint bar/restaurant/artsy/alternative place, that I have held my last 5 birthday get-togethers here.

It’s set in a historical house off the beaten path of the busy, popular Atlantic Ave…just north on Swinton. You will notice the pretty outside area with various colored lanterns set amongst the banyon trees. There are cozy, cushioned seats and tables set all around the garden area and even a fire-pit out back which is perfect for those in-frequent chilly South Florida evenings.

You will be greeted by alternative/inked wait staff who are all friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. As you enter, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the wooden floors and the romantic, working fireplace. If you happen to come across Walter, the general Manager, tell him how amazing it is!

Yummy Martinis!

Key Lime Martini @ DaDa’s

The only downside is you now have to make reservations, as the good word got out…. .along with the incredible starters and mains here…Jen served me the first martini I ever fell in LOVE with, The French Pear!! A close second is The Key Lime….you can almost have one for dessert, BUT my true dessert recommendation is either The Warm Chocolate Brownie or The Chocolate Fondue!

Whenever anyone of any age asks me for a special place in Delray I hesitate a little… (for selfish reasons) and I tell them about DaDa… (pronounced with soft a’s please) and named after the art movement, not your father!

Try them, I guarantee you will be pleased….

  1. I think the oatmeal infused vodka that I recently made would be perfect for breakfast martinis! (the warm chocolate brownie sounds so good)
