Joey C’s Roadhouse

Joey C's Roadhouse

A Taste of the Old West

Last Friday evening, our transport delivered us on our latest hunting trip to Joey C’s in Milford.  Recently opened, we had read about it in the local newspaper and decided to check it out.  We were met with a comfortable rustic, cowboy themed décor with unique features such as hanging Patron bottle lamps and a glowing bar soffit made from beer bottles.

The small bar was full with only a single stool left on a corner, but before we had a chance to settle in, 2 stools opened up and we parked ourselves at the bar.  Lucas, the barkeep for the night took our drink order and efficiently served us our refreshing drinks.  Tammy’s drink was a Strawberry Mojito and I had my usual boring Corona.

We met a couple who had already made this their own place to go (I expect we will see them in the same spots the next time we visit).  They frequently have live music during the week, which is done earlier in the night, which is nice, as you usually have to wait until 10 pm before a band starts.  This is something we wish more places would do.  We will be going back again soon to sample a full dinner and maybe some live music.

Best of luck Joey and Enya, your passion shows through!  See you again soon.  Cheers!

  1. Tammy and Dave – you will not be disappointed with the food! I ate at their previous location a few times last year after a sample of their chili at the Platt Tech Chili Cook-off. Freshly made and TASTY!
