Two Boots of Bridgeport

Two Boots of Bridgeport

Great Cocktails and Pizza, Cajun Style!

I’ll never forget the first time I walked into Two Boots of Bridgeport.  It was the “new place” in downtown Bridgeport and I was eager to host one of my pre-MH, monthly Happy Hours there.  Walking in I was greeted by a comfortable bar; eclectic trendy accents and red bar stools.  (I love RED barstools!)  I made my way to the bar, found a seat in a prominent location and took stock of the liquor selection and the bartender.  You never know what you’re going to get with that first martini so I usually ask the resident mixologist, aka bartender, what his specialties or favorites are.  Now, if you know me at all, you’ll know that I like unusual and classic cocktails nothing run of the mill for this girl.  I was offered an array of cocktails designed to lure the timid and satisfy the adventurous.  I’m an adventurous girl so I selected a cucumber and basil martini.  The bartender proceeded to create his masterpiece while chatting about nothing in particular yet all the while making me feel that this was going to be a good night.  My martini arrived in a chilled glass garnished with a leaf of basil and a slice of cucumber.  I looked at it somewhat skeptically and leaned down to take a sip of my overflowing martini glass…… Ahhhh, heaven!  Light, refreshing and lively, a definite artisan martini, made at the hands of a master.

And then there was Travis.  As I sat enjoying my martini, waiting for my group to arrive I was approached by Two Boots’ wonderful manager, Travis. Travis was welcoming, friendly and made me feel totally at home.  As my friends arrived for happy hour, he told us about the “specials” he had planned for us; delectable martinis and an array of appetizers that teased our palates.  And let me tell you about the pizza!  Enter the “Larry Tate”, “Bayou Beast”, “The Newman”, “Big Maybelle” and a wide variety of other specialty pizzas topped with everything from garlic to andouille sausage and crawfish!  The Blackened Catfish Po’ Boy sandwich with fresh remoulade sauce is flaky and delicious.  Since then I’ve never eaten something at Two Boots that I didn’t absolutely love.

All in all, I highly recommend that you visit Two Boots of Bridgeport and tell them that Tammy aka “The Martini Hunter” sent you!
